Need help with a sewer line problem? Call Spartan Plumbing at (937) 238-8620 for a consultation. We’ll go over your options for sewer line repair or replacement in Dayton.
Problems with your sewer line can quickly affect your indoor plumbing fixtures. You may notice low water levels in your toilet, or sudden mold growth around your home. These are just some of the signs that point to a damaged sewer line.
Spartan Plumbing has you covered. We provide accurate sewer line solutions throughout Dayton, OH and surrounding areas. Our services are tailored to meet your specific needs and budget—you will only receive high-quality solutions designed to give you the long-term peace of mind you deserve.
Signs You Need Sewer Line Repair
How can you tell if your drain problem is due to a minor clog or a broken sewer line? Look out for these warning signs of sewer line damage:
- The shower drain backs up when you flush the toilet
- You smell sewer odors around your property
- Mold has started to develop in your walls
- Certain areas of your lawn look particularly lush
- A dip has appeared in a section of your lawn
- You notice cracks in your home’s foundation
The above factors may not necessarily point to damage in the sewer line, but if you have tried to remedy the situation yet slow or backed up drains continue to persist, then there is likely a problem farther in the sewer line that will need to be addressed as soon as possible.
Traditional Sewer Repair
Traditional sewer line repair and replacement methods require us to dig up sections of your property to access the pipes underneath. This means your driveway and landscaping may need to be excavated as we create trenches around the sewer line. The trench method of repair is a large undertaking, but it is also the most accurate and effective way to repair damaged sewer lines.
Which Repair Method is Better?
We will go over your repair options and explain the scope of work required for each. Depending on the size of the pipes and the severity of damage, traditional methods can take a few days to a week while trenchless repair can be completed in one or two days.
While the trenchless method may seem more convenient, it is not suitable for all properties. The current state of your pipes, the cause of the problem, and ease of access to your sewer line are all factored in when we provide our recommended solution. We will advise you on what’s best for your property.
Resolve your sewer line issues as soon as possible to keep your property safe. Contact Spartan Plumbing at (937) 238-8620 to schedule immediate repair in Dayton, OH and surrounding areas.

Terri is Former Air Force Reserve. The home was built in 2021. Upon arrival, Technician Mike found that the both bathrooms on the second story were backed up yet nothing on the first floor or basement was backed up. The bathtub and shower were holding several inches of sewage and water. After removal of the excess water above floor level, the tech was able to pull the toilet in the upstairs hallway bathroom and use a flex shaft to clear the obstruction. Wads of flushable wet wipes were pulled back. The tech explained how wet wipes need to be discarded into the trash can or not used all together because they do not break down after flushing them. After removal of wipes the tech ran the tub next to the pulled toilet, turned the shower on in the master bath and flushed toilet in master bath multiple times assuring the drain line was clear. The toilet was then reset with a new jumbo wax ring with horn. The customer insisted that the tech does not change the johnni bolts or braided water su

Existing hose connections are boiler drain valves connected to galvanized pipe running through poured concrete walls. Both are accessible. House waterlines are ran in pvc. Will adapt to pvc waterlines with propress adaptors and plumb to hose bibs with copper (<1’). 5/24/22 Customer had small puddle under and near washing machine/drain stack in basement, upon arrival. Customer requested I look into it. Majority of puddle dried up by the time I was finished (2.5 hrs). Tried to recreate by running/draining washing machine and quick cycling iron filter and softener. Unable to recreate. Told customer to keep an eye on it and take note of fixture usage if reoccurrence happens.
