We often forget about our hardworking water heaters—until we get surprised by icy water after turning on the shower! But cold showers aren’t the only problem. Broken water heaters also affect the efficiency of your washing machines and dishwashers.
If your water is not as hot as it used to be, or if you’re not getting any hot water at all, give us a call to have the problem checked out. We will diagnose the issue and explain your options for water heater repair or replacement. You’ll have the hot water you need in no time!
“Why is My Water Only Lukewarm?” and Other Problems
Many of the water heater problems we respond to involve inadequate water temperatures. Whether lukewarm or too hot, a change in water temperature signals a faulty element in your water heater.
If the hot water coming out is scalding, you likely have a malfunctioning thermostat or T&P valve.
If your water is only lukewarm or not hot at all, there are several scenarios at play. The pilot light could be failing to stay lit (in gas units), the drip tube may be broken, the heating element may need replacement, or sediment buildup in the tank might be interfering with the burner.
Other common water heater problems we handle include:

Signs Your Water Heater Needs to Be Replaced
Not all water heater problems require a full system replacement. Our team will carry out repairs when possible to keep costs reasonable for you. If your water heater is still within the warranty period, a repair is often the most cost-effective option.
But when does replacement become necessary? Consider these warning signs:
The above scenarios point to failing water heaters. Corroded tanks are often the main culprit. If the tank has started to rust from the inside, it can suddenly burst and send water flooding through your home. Avoid emergencies by calling our water heater experts for help before any more problems occur. We’ll confirm whether or not your unit needs to be replaced.

Client has a loud humming noise. Started with the hose faucet and now in the home when anything is ran. Also pressure is low Pressure is 80 psi until water is turned on. This lowers the pressure to 40 psi. This is due to a galvanized water service. The noise is a vibration caused by the hose faucet outside. The hose was on and the vacumme breaker was vibrating. Recommend replacing water service.
